What is an internal laboratory?
A one-stop shop for Lab tests is a handy feature at UrgentWay Clinics. You can easily leave samples and get tested for several diseases. You can even get same-day results for several servises. We will interpret your results and advise you if treatment is necessary.
What types of lab tests we offer?
We offer a wide range of tests for many diseases and conditions, a few of those are listed below:
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
The PCR test has revolutionized testing for viruses and bacteria. The test can extract small pieces of foreign DNA from your body fluid. DNA polymerase, an enzyme that copies your DNA, lengthens the sample so it can be diagnosed. Alien DNA comes from pathogens that cause certain diseases and infections.
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
Using a sample of your urine or a swab from your mouth or genitals, we can test you for common STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital herpes, syphilis, and some types of human papillomavirus (HPV).
Urinary tract infection (UTI)
You may develop a UTI if bacteria or other germs enter your urethra, bladder, ureters, or kidneys. You must provide a urine sample for a UTI test.
Upper respiratory tract infection
If your cough and cold symptoms last more than 10 days, we may recommend a blood test or throat swab to determine if you have an upper respiratory infection.
